Spain Among the Superstars for Business Tourism

August 17, 2015

The Statistical Report published by the ICCA in May this year revealed that Spain remains among the top countries to host international association meetings.

Nothing has changed from 2013. In the ICCA worldwide country rankings 2014, Spain remains in third place, behind Germany and the USA with 578, 659 and 831 meetings per year respectively. Madrid and Barcelona are among the top 5 cities to accommodate these meetings. (1)

There are several reasons why Spain is so attractive for business meetingsconferences and incentive travels. With its diversity it offers what ever you are looking for: cosmopolitan cities, a mix of tradition and modernity, rich art and culture, beach side views, or volcano landscapes. In addition to the leading ICCA cities of Madrid and Barcelona, there are many other suitable cities for doing business, such as Malaga, Seville, Granada, Valencia and Santander, just to name a few. Spread across peninsular Spain there are more than 50 conference centers that are modernly equipped to fulfill your every need.

In addition, the numerous hotels that can be found here, simplify the planning of business travel. Many of these hotels offer meeting rooms for 200 and up to 1000 people. Linking these to one of the many appropriate venues achieves a balance between day-time meeting and evening relaxation.

In our eyes Spain is a perfect MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions/Events) destination.
